It's called "Scarlet and Igor Pick a Name." It starts with them looking for their cat. I don't think we "made up" though.we just kind of move from fight to ignore. Last night we ran all over the living room while the daddies stared at the glowy box. There will be refreshments, a raffle with many giveaways, and a chance to take a selfie with big Frank himself! While you’re in the Library, be sure to visit our Halloween Open House in Special Collections and Archives (Room 314), featuring all things Gothic and spooky.įrankenweek at DePaul is a collaboration with the Studio CHI, Humanities Center, English Department, Media and Cinema Studies Program, CDM Idea Realization Lab, and the Cosplay Club.In the first story Scarlet and Igor fight, but make up (of course). Help us build life-sized monsters in the nearby Maker Hub for display around the Library and get geared up for Halloween with horror makeup tutorials. You can even sign up to read a 15-minute section aloud. You can drop in to catch part of the story or get comfortable and stay all day. Richardson Library from 8am – 5pm to be part of this international event. Stop in at The Forum on the 2 nd floor of the John T. The week culminates on Halloween, when over 587 institutions in 47 countries will host read-athons as part of Frankenreads. The are many other events so check out the full schedule here. The Media and Cinema Studies Program will be showing “Hideous Progeny: A Monster of a Marathon.” The English Department will host Rachel Feder as she discusses her new book, Harvester of Hearts: Motherhood under the Sign of Frankenstein. This celebration of the 200 year anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein demonstrates the range of work this seminal literary piece has inspired.
